BBCA in Partnership with the National AIDS and Health Promotion Agency (NAHPA) were holding a two day training from 13th & 14th July 2023 for peer educators in the workplace at Cresta Botsalo Hotel, Palapye. The purpose of the training is for self sustenance of health and wellness programmes in companies post the current BBCA/NAHPA project, and be able to feed BBCA with the data. As part of their training, peer educators in the workplace will be taken through a series of topics such as Health and Wellness programmes in Botswana cascaded to the workplace, introduction to basic counseling, HIV/AIDS prevention, Gender and HIV, and Voluntary counseling and testing. Program will see peer educators being drilled on health issues such as Mental Health, Understanding TB and it’s implications, Non-Communicable Diseases, STIs, Drugs and Substance Abuse and Social Behavior Change Communication amongst others. The two day training will conclude with awarding of certificates to the participants.
